Odunze is the theoretical top receiver in Chicago's Ben Johnson offense, but a foot/calf injury that lingered through camp and Week 1 has kept his role muddled behind Luther Burden and Kalif Raymond. He's played through it (50-58% snap range early), producing little in raw output, and is now framed less as a locked-in starter than as a buy-low bet on volume returning once he's fully healthy.
The arc runs from real Week 1 doubt (Harris Fantasy Football, The Ringer, The Audible all flagged missed/limited practices and floated sitting him) to a soft floor once he played but barely produced — Yahoo's Matt Harmon pointed to a 58% route share and WR53 finish as reason to wait for a clean, healthy week before trusting him over Burden. FantasyPros has been the consistent bull, first calling him the cheapest buy-low in the Bears' room, then by Week 2 flipping fully positive on a rising route share and a favorable Vikings matchup history. Fantasy Football Today stayed the most skeptical throughout, ranking him behind Thomas/Addison/Watson and citing low prop lines as evidence he's either not healthy or not the first read.
The line: Buy low now on the health-driven dip, but don't start him confidently until the route share and target share actually show up.
