About Play Action
There are more good fantasy football podcasts than anyone has hours for. We listen to all of them, every day, and write down what they said.
What it is
Every morning we pull the day's fantasy football podcasts, transcribe them, and extract every substantive take on every player — the argument itself, which show made it, and whether the hosts were buying ▲, fading ▼, or just passing along news ▶. That becomes three things: the episode feed with a deep dive for each show, a player feed where every name carries a standing dossier, and on Tuesdays the Pods' Waiver Report — what the shows agree is worth a claim.
Sign up and the whole thing arrives as one email every morning — the last 24 hours of podcasts, every show recapped, every player tagged. Add a roster if you want (Sleeper, Yahoo, or pasted as text) and the digest opens with the takes on your own players first. Free through the 2026 season.

How it's made
Machine transcription, then a model reads each transcript and pulls out the takes; every player name is matched against the NFL roster spine so “Bijan” and a garbled transcript spelling land on the same page. The day's lead — the story across the shows — is written once over all of it. Nothing is generated per reader: your email is a filter over the same corpus everyone else gets.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Paraphrase, not transcript. Takes are summarized in our words, with at most one short quote per episode, attributed.
- Always a link back. Every episode links to the show. The real thing is better than our summary — go listen.
- Nothing invented. If a host didn't say it, it isn't here. We don't add our own rankings or projections.
- No scraping, no paywalls. Public podcast feeds the shows publish for distribution, and nothing else.
3 daily issues compiled so far. Play Action isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed from any of the shows above, or the NFL.
