The Kalen Black story has dominated coverage for two weeks: shows like The Ringer, Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh & Hayden, and Establish The Run all flagged the rookie stealing early-down volume, with some (Yahoo, Fantasy Life Show) downgrading McCaffrey from top-5 to more of a top-12 asset. FantasyPros went furthest, arguing the workhorse role is largely gone and endorsing a trade of him for Chase Brown and Colston Loveland. Counterbalancing that, Fantasy Football Today and The Audible pointed to an 80% snap, 8-of-10-touch blowout game and a normal return to practice as evidence the split is being overstated, framing the Australia-game workload dip as an outlier tied to cramping rather than a real shift.
The line: Still start him every week for touchdowns and targets, but stop pricing him as a true workhorse RB1.
