Chris Bell

WR, MIA

Bell is a rookie WR who tore his ACL in December, missed nearly all of training camp, and is now Miami's presumptive Week 1 starter and top target earner in a wide-open, talent-thin receiver room. Multiple shows describe strong preseason usage (lining up outside, in the slot, and at Z) with heavy early looks, and hosts consistently flag his after-the-catch ability as his separator trait. He's less a proven commodity than a fast-tracked bet on talent outrunning missed reps.

The arc starts cautious in late August (Establish The Run, Fantasy Footballers) noting he flashed in the preseason finale but wasn't draftable yet, then tips into full buy-in by September 3 as Yahoo's Josh & Hayden and The Late-Round Fantasy Football Podcast prefer him over Caleb Douglas and Malik Washington on comps to Deebo Samuel/DJ Moore and A.J. Brown. By September 10, three shows converge on him starting Week 1 with no snap count, but The Ringer explicitly breaks from the pack to flag the December ACL tear and lost offseason program as real risk, while Fantasy Life and The Audible stay bullish on fit and size. FantasyPros has been the lone recurring skeptic on early-season production given the missed camp time, even as it separately lists him as a sleeper who could become Miami's No. 1 target-earner.

The line: Stash him now as a starting rookie WR with real target-share upside, but don't bank on efficiency until his post-ACL workload proves out. · updated Sep 13

Both shows are bullish, pointing to A.J. Brown-level physical traits and an already-explosive return from a December ACL tear as evidence he's Miami's top long-term ceiling play among the young receivers; worth stashing now before the breakout hits.

▲ Harris Fantasy Football Podcast: Flashed first-round college talent in limited snaps and was ranked as a top waiver add despite Dolphins' offense being murky post-Achane. listen ↗

▲ The Audible: Flashy 44-yard catch-and-run drew Anquan Boldin comparisons; a marquee waiver add as Malik Willis shows incremental improvement. listen ↗

▲ The Ringer Fantasy Football Show: Rookie compared to an A.J. Brown clone coming out of Louisville; impressive given he tore his ACL in December and already looks explosive, seen as a stronger season-long upside add than Allen. listen ↗

▲ Yahoo Fantasy Forecast with Matt Harmon: Flashed with 4 catches for 67 yards; hosts view him as having the highest long-term ceiling among Miami's young receivers. listen ↗
